Bucks County government has unveiled a new full-featured Web site designed to provide more information and give visitors an opportunity to engage in e-government activities, such as registering to vote, applying for hunting, fishing and dog licenses, or filing a consumer complaint. The new site is at the same address as the previous county Internet page: www.buckscounty.org.
Users will find a powerful new search tool to help them locate the information they are seeking by clicking buttons labeled for residents, businesses, visitors, seniors, veterans, courts and e-government. The links will display information relevant to their search, and provide quick access to specific information.
According to County Commissioner Michael G. Fitzpatrick, "This new and updated source of information will help county government more efficiently serve the citizens of Bucks County and provide them with easy access to approximately 60 government departments and related agencies."
"The Web site offers county govenment new opportunities to communicate with citizens and provides timely updates about available services and resources, even those not directly provided by county government," added Commissioner Charles H. Martin.
Commissioner Sandra A. Miller noted, "The update of the county's new Web site required teamwork on the part of all county departments, and will continue to be a work in progress as we hone our skills and bring the best information available to everyone who has an interest in Bucks County."
The site offers links to area schools, newspapers, business and community organizations to help web visitors find the information about Bucks County that they are seeking.
